Founded in 1882 on the picturesque slopes of Mount Carmel, Zikhron Ya’akov is a living testament to the aspirations of the first Zionist settlers. Named in honor of James Rothschild, the town began as a small community struggling for survival, but over time it grew into a true gem of Israeli culture and history.

One of its main landmarks is the first synagogue, built at the end of the 19th century. Still standing proudly in the town center, it is adorned with a clock donated by a generous benefactor, serving as a reminder of the past.

As you stroll through the narrow streets of Zikhron Ya’akov, you can feel the atmosphere of the 19th century. Here you’ll find renowned wineries, historic wine cellars, and museums such as the Baron Rothschild House, which tells the story of the town’s founder. Every corner is infused with the spirit of courage, tradition, and the drive for progress.

Zikhron Ya’akov is not only about history — it is also a vibrant cultural hub. Come and experience for yourself this unique blend of past and present!
